Subject: Plate from a series of fish: De vissen. (The fishes.) The text says in old Dutch: Den goede Goed. (The precious goods.)
Condition: Fine. General age related toning and light staining. Irregular right margin and / or small holes from binding not affecting image. Small tear at bottom left, backed by acid free tape. Carefully review the scan as it gives a good impression of its condition.
Medium: Copperplate engraving and etching combination on verge type hand laid paper.
