Subject: Antique print, titled: 'The Cape Verde Islands …' - A map of the Cape Verde islands, in the Atlantic Ocean west of Africa. Several inset maps show: a map of Praya Bay and a view of Praya Bay, a view of the isle of Mayo, as well as four island profiles.
Condition: Good, given age. Margin edges and image edges faintly browned. Remains of binding in the left margin. Several small tears in the margins, only one extending into the image 3 cms. (all tears backed with acid-free archival tape). General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
Medium: Engraving on hand laid paper.
