Marbled endpapers, all edges marbled. Reference: Roscoe 23, fourth edition of Waterbirds and sixth edition of Landbirds.

Condition: Very good, given age. Light foxing throughout, mostly in margins. The spines starting and rubbed. Board edges and corners rubbed and minimally worn. Small imperfections to the boards.

Bewick is seen as the man who started the great production of woodengraving in the 19th. century.
