Subject: Plate: 'Blasii de Manfre.' Blaise de Manfre was a Malta born magician and juggler who performed at the court of King Charles II. He was most famous for a trick that involved swallowing a large quantity of water, and discharging it again, converted as wine, beer, oil or milk.
Condition: Excellent given age. General age related toning and occasional light foxing. Paper edges ocassionally a bit frayed and chipped. Remains of binding. Please study scan carefully.
Medium: Original etching / engraving on a vellin type paper.
