Subject: Antique Portrait Print, untitled. A portrait of Robert Stephenson (1803-1859), a prominent English civil engineer. He was the son of George Stephenson, known as the "Father of Railways". Robert Stephenson, along with his father, built the famous locomotive "Rocket". He designed and constructed many significant bridges and railways in Britain and abroad, including the first railway to reach London (the line from Birmingham, 1833-38) and the Britannia Bridge on the Menai Straits.
Condition: Good, given age. Ample margins, some foxing and some vague waterstaining. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
