Subject: Antique print, titled: 'Door 't blaazen blaakt zy.' - ('By blowing she blooms'). A man outside in the city blows with bellows at a stove. At his feet a pan, with a branch and fruit (or garlic?) hanging above him.
Condition: Very good, given age. Margins cropped close to the platemark and a little soiled. Right edge faintly dampstained. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
Medium: Etching on hand laid paper.

Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Vincent van der Vinne Jr.' after 'Adriaan Spinneker'. Most of the refined plates are by painter and etcher Vincent van der Vinne Jr (1686-1742), although J.C. Philips is given as the etcher of 4 plates in the second part of this book. The author of this work is Adriaan Spinniker (Groningen 1676-1754 Haarlem). He was a preacher with the doopsgezinde gemeente in Amsterdam. He is known for his poetry.
