Subject: Antique print, titled: 'Noch geeft zy licht.' - ('Still she gives light'). A man with a heavy pack on his back crosses a small wooden bridge, while to the right two figures point up at the sun beaming from behind dark clouds.
Condition: Good, given age. Margins cropped close to the platemark. A wormhole in the right edge of the image. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
Medium: Etching on hand laid paper.

Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Vincent van der Vinne Jr.' after 'Adriaan Spinneker'. Most of the refined plates are by painter and etcher Vincent van der Vinne Jr (1686-1742), although J.C. Philips is given as the etcher of 4 plates in the second part of this book. The author of this work is Adriaan Spinniker (Groningen 1676-1754 Haarlem). He was a preacher with the doopsgezinde gemeente in Amsterdam. He is known for his poetry.
