Subject: Plate: 'Fete de la fondation de la Republique, 1er vendemaire an V.' (Celebration of the foundation of the Republic, the first Vendemaire). After an engraving by Berthault (Design Girardet). Vendemiaire was the first month in the French Republican Calendar. The month was named after the French word vendange (grape harvest).

Condition: Excellent given its age. General age related toning and occasional light staining / foxing. Please study scan carefully.
