Subject: Page no.297: 'Een Jonk van Palimban.' (Junk from Palimban on present day Sumatra, Indonesia). A scene that took place near Pulo Condore / Con Son Island an Island off the South Vietnam coast. Men with swords on the junk loaded with spices chase others off the boat, into the sea or the small sloop moored beside it. A larger sailing vessel in the background, anchored just off a coastline.
Condition: Very good, given age. A small stain in the top margin just above the image. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
Medium: Etching on a verge type handlaid paper.
