Subject: Antique print, titled: ''Plan de la Baye de St. Augustin en l''Isle de Madagascar. Plan du Port de l''Isle Ste. Marie.'' - Two maps on one sheet. The top map shows the bay near St. Augustin on the island Madagascar, near the inlet of Onilahy river (R. Dartemont on the map). The lower map shows the harbour of Ile Sainte-Marie (also Nosy Boraha). Both maps show depth soundings along the coast, adn islands and shallows near the coast.
Condition: Good, given age. Top left corner of the margin and image edge stained. Some soiling in the lower left margin. Some faint stains in the image area. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
Medium: Engraving, hand coloured on hand laid paper.
