Description: This original print originates from: "The British Imperial Forces" or "Her Majesty's Army", by Frank Feller, G.D. Giles, et al. (London: Virtue and Co., ca. 1900).

Artists and Engravers: Frank Feller (fl. 1880-1910): a Swiss artist who settled in England and made a career as an illustrator and painter. His most famous painting was entitled The Last Eleven at Maiwand completed in 1882. It depicted a small handful of men from the 66th Regiment with their regimental mascot, 'Bobby' making a last stand as Afghan horseman approach. Godfrey Douglas Giles Godfrey Douglas Giles (1857-1941): a painter of horses, military scenes and battles, many experienced at first hand while on service with the British Army in India, Afghanistan, Egypt and South Africa. He produced numerous caricatures for the magazine Vanity Fair.
