Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Willem Steelinck' after 'Nicolaas Pieneman'. Willem Steelink, Jr. (Amsterdam, 1856-1928, Voorburg) was a Dutch painter and graphic artist, associated with the Laren School. He was inspired by the work of Mauve. Steelink made a large group of reproductive etchings after paintings. Nicolaas Pieneman (1809-1860) was a pupil of his father. He specialised in portraits and historic subjectmatter.
