Condition: Good. Small tears in lower margin, extending 2,5 cm into image, backed. Original middle fold which is occasionally a bit separated at top and bottom and backed with paper or acid free tape. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.

Medium: Original line lithograph and chromolithographic colouring on a vellin type paper.

Schreiber, c. 1878. These plates were intended for 'Anschauungsunterricht für die Jugend in Schulen und Familien.' (translation: Visual learning for youth in schools and families.)

Artists and Engravers: Gotthilf Heinrich von Schubert (1780-1860) was a German physician and naturalist.
