Subject: Plate XXI : 'Wiederkauer'. (Ruminants.) This plate shows ruminant species; fallow deer, roe deer and klipspringer.

Condition: Good. Tear in and near lower middle fold and backed by acid free tape. Remains of tape from previous attachment on rear. General age-related toning and occasional light stains from handling. Please study image carefully.

Medium: Original line lithograph and chromolithographic colouring on a vellin type paper.

Schreiber, c. 1878. These plates were intended for 'Anschauungsunterricht für die Jugend in Schulen und Familien.' (translation: Visual learning for youth in schools and families.)
