Artists and Engravers: Wood engraving monogrammed A.M. in the plate. Agatha Johanna ('Agta') Meijer (The Hague 1908 - Florence 1944) was a Dutch graphic artist, painter and book designer. She worked in The Hague from 1923 to 1928 before moving to Florence, where she worked until her death. She is best known for her bookplates in wood engraving.
