Description: This scarse silhouette cut in frame is made by F. Kaskeline. Date 1920-30.

Artists and Engravers: The artist is Friedrich Kaskeline (Czech 1863-unknown), was a student of the Academy in Vienna under the History and Portrait painter Christian Griepenkerl. He worked as an illustrator for the humor-satire magazine 'Glühlichter' (1889/90-1915) and he was in Berlin as a illustrator for the magazines 'The Graphic' and 'The Daily Graphic' (London). In the first world war he made propagande graphics. In the 1920's het made many artictic postcards and silhouettes. He had succes in England as well.
